SAILING DAY

Sailing, relaxing, swimming, diving
From the port of the city of Zakynthos, we sail southeast along the beautiful green coast of Vasilikos.
After rounding Cape Gerakas, we enter the National Marine Park. The Caretta-Caretta Marine Turtle Protected Area.
In the Laganas bay, we pass by the Pelouzo and Marathonisi islands and head towards the blue caves of Keri.
Under the high cliffs we stop for swimming and snorkeling in one of the caves and then we head towards the small fishing village of Limni keriou.
There you will have enough time to go to one of the taverns for lunch, shopping or to enjoy the village beach.
Depending on the wind, we will now return near the Marathonisi turtle island passing by the Laganas bay or in the warm waters, we will have the chance to observe a sea turtle more closely.
Return to the port at the end of the afternoon after this splendid day of navigation!

No sailing experience is necessary, but you are more than welcome to participate in the hoisting of the sails.

The sailboat is an Atlantic 49 made in Greece.
It is a masthead sloop 49′(14.75m) overall length, 15.02′(4.58m) width and 6.56′(2.00m) maximum draft.
It has 4 cabins, a toilet with electric pump, a shower and a saloon.
