Visit a modern ecological olive oil press and its museum and learn about the history of its production.

Zakynthos has one of the best olive oils in Greece and if you are passionate about history, don't forget to visit the Olive Oil Press Museum in the village of Pantokratoras, near Lithakia. Here you can take a guided tour of the olive oil production process, step by step, from the wooden press of the 18th century to the modern centrifuges of today. You will be rewarded with the opportunity to dip homemade bread in Zakynthia's high quality olive oil. You can also buy excellent olive oil soaps and other local products.
