BUTTERFLY VALLEY AND FILERIMOS HILL BY BUS

Get ready to discover some of Rhodes' most beautiful gems on this captivating excursion! Our first stop will take us to the Valley of Butterflies, a natural sanctuary of exquisite beauty that evokes a paradise on Earth. From mid-June to September, the valley is populated by millions of red-brown butterflies creating an enchanting spectacle. You will be amazed by this profusion of colorful life! As you walk the narrow stone-paved paths spanning rustic bridges and listening to the murmur of running waters and waterfalls, you will be enveloped in a magical atmosphere. You can also visit the nearby museum where a fascinating variety of butterfly species are on display adding an extra dimension to this immersive nature experience.

Then we will take a short bus excursion to reach the top of Filerimos hill. You can explore the Monastery of Our Lady and the majestic Filerimos Cross. To reach this imposing cross and enjoy the spectacular panoramic view, you will take the trail known as "Golgothas". Lined with trees and dotted with sanctuaries and scenes from the Passion of Christ, this trail offers an experience rich in history and spirituality. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit the remains of the ancient acropolis of Ialyssos, one of the three ancient cities of the island of Rhodes adding a touch of ancient history to your exploration of this enchanting island.
