WALKING TOUR OF THE ACROPOLIS, PARTHENON AND ACROPOLIS MUSEUM
During this tour, you will have the chance to discover Athens' most famous monuments and attractions, as well as visit the remarkable new Acropolis Museum!

Your licensed guide will give you detailed information about all the sites you will visit, as well as all the exhibits at the Acropolis Museum. The tour will start at Syntagma metro station, where our guide will show you the archaeological finds made during the construction of the metro line.
We will continue with a visit to the Greek Parliament House and the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, where we will witness the changing of the guards. Next, we will visit the National Gardens and the impressive neoclassical Zappeion Hall. Opposite Zappeion are the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch. After crossing the road in front of the Arch, we will arrive at the picturesque neighborhood of Plaka. At the entrance to this neighborhood we will see the statue of Melina Merkouri.
We will walk up Dionysiou Areopagitou Street to the South Gate of the Acropolis. We will enter the Acropolis site from the south side to avoid the crowds and to also see the Theater of Dionysus, the oldest theater in the world. Then we will go up to the Acropolis hill to see the marvelous Parthenon, the temple of Athena Nike, the Propylaea, the Erechtheion, the Karyatids and to enjoy the breathtaking view of Athens. Our guide will give you all the historical information regarding the glorious monuments of the Acropolis, as well as the surrounding monuments, including the Ancient Agora, the Theater of Herodes Atticus, the Monument of Philopappos and the Hill of Pnyx.
This marks the first part of the tour, which ends at 12:45

Afterwards, you will have free time to take photos of the Acropolis and nearby monuments, or have a coffee in the charming cafeterias of Plaka.
At 13:30 you will meet our guide inside the New Acropolis Museum. The new Acropolis Museum stands out for its impressive architecture and glass floors. The 4,000 exhibits housed in the museum come from excavations at the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis and other sites in Attica. From the second and third floors of the museum you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Acropolis Hill.
The tour ends at the Acropolis Museum around 14:30. Note that during the visit, you will have plenty of time to rest a little in quiet and shaded places.

The Acropolis ticket is valid for the following archaeological sites: Acropolis of Athens, Ancient Agora of Athens, Kerameikos Archaeological Museum, Kerameikos Ancient Site, Museum of the Ancient Agora, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Roman Agora of Athens. You can buy this ticket at any of the above archaeological sites that you visit first and use it for the Acropolis as well. Admission prices are subject to change without notice.
